I mean you can get them on the cheap now. Like only 120k or something. . .

I'm sick, I track the prices almost weekly. Here is roughly where they are at right now:
F1 Coupe with over 30K miles: $90K
6MT Coupe with over 30K miles: never seen one for sale
F1 Coupe with 10-20K miles: $110-120K
6MT Coupe with 10-20K miles: $115-130K
F1 Coupe with 5-10K miles: $135-140K
6MT Coupe with 5-10K miles: $140-150K
F1 Coupe with 1-5K miles: $150-160K
6MT Coupe with 1-5K miles: $160-165K
+ $10-20K for spider, the markup is higher if red or gray and lower if black or yellow
+ $10-20K if it's a 2007 with optional carbon ceramics or a 2008-2009 that came with the carbon ceramics standard
$150-210K for a Scuderia, depending on mileage
$210-285K for a 16M, depending on mileage

I did it. I chose the Lambo, V10 sounds better than the silly 4.3 V8.

Also I've noticed an alarming trend recently - there used to always be at least a few nice 6MT cars for sale at any given time. You could always find at least one car for sale somewhere in the country that had the options and color you wanted and the gated shifter.
In the last month most the 6MT cars have disappeared. There are very few 6MT spiders for sale in any color and less 6MT coupes than normal.
I wonder if enthusiasts who couldn't afford the car new but can afford it now are already buying and holding all the stick shift cars.

I wouldn't be surprised. I imagine the manuals are probably going to be going up in value in a few years. I would nab one quickly! They would be great fun.

I want to so bad...
Now there are two reasons the 6MT F430s might start going up sooner than later:
1. The F430 is the last mid engine V8 Ferrari with a stick.
2. The F430 is the second to last mid engine N/A V8 Ferrari. The 458 replacement is going TT for sure. I think this is going to help the 458 retain its value well, which in turn will help support F430 values.

I am hoping that 348 values don't start going up with it. People don't really seem to like that Ferrari. I will nab one up and then will do something from there.

I've only done some light research on the 348. Do you know if the engine is much less prone to need expensive repairs than the F355 engine is?
I've been tracking 348 values too and they are in the sweet spot. Everyone knows that the 328 is the easiest and cheapest Ferrari to maintain and repair so prices have already shot up. The F355 can be found cheap but it's expensive to keep running. The 348 prices are low and I don't know if it's due to running costs or because it was the "unloved" Ferrari that had trouble keeping up with the NSX.

Sweet! Enjoy! I haven't done this exact one but have done ones like it. Don't expect to go out and really push to car to the limit, you'll have an instructor in the car with you sort of reigning you in, making sure nothing bad happens.
Remember, smooth is fast.

But for those prices, you could have a 348 decked out like the one Matt Farah drove. Built to your specification, even. :o
Decisions, decisions, decisions!

I haven't seen that video yet. Is it good?

Oh yes. The way that 348 Challenge was modified was incredibly tasteful while at the same time being incredibly bonkers.
Here's the link , if you don't want to search.

Cool, thanks!
What I really want is a 458 with a stick. But that's impossible.

Eh. I can't get over the weirdness of the 458. I'd be happier in an F12, simply because of the 750 HP V12 up front.

No, I had this thought before that. But dat twin turbo really strengthened the idea.

That video made me go from an F355 fan to a 348 fan. Something about that car's '80s leanings and amazing performance modifications tickles my fancy.
